Sarah (a.k.a. SKD) hails from Wilton, New Hampshire, where she grew up watching Public Television, being wholesome and canning fruit. She attended Middlesex School in Concord, MA and then shipped off to NYU in 2002, where her boarding school grooming went to shit and she dyed her hair black. Back when they both had their natural hair color still intact, Kristen and Sarah dorm'd together but their true friendship potential was not fully realized until one rainy night, when they bonded over a love for Dr. Pepper and Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies (purchased with money Sarah found on the sidewalk). Since then they've shared apartments, clothing and the dream to one day move into a townhouse so they can each have a floor and "live together" without actually, you know, living together.
With many degrees in tow (Trinity in Ireland, y'all!), Sarah is integral to shaping the voice of WINTERCHECK FACTORY®. Instructions, bios, newsletters and anything that involves publishing in any way goes to Sarah for review (she prefers Chicago-style, FYI). Grammatical errors do not fly on SKD's watch, so if you catch any, we did it on purpose. When she's not upholding the integrity of our writing, she's also Kristen's right-hand woman and second opinion-dispenser. This includes, but is not limited to: fabric patterns, logo placement, price points, shipping options, what to eat for lunch and making videos. So basically, if Kristen dies, Sarah will be the new CEO.
