The Camo ALICE (All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment) Backpack was designed by the U.S. Military in 1973 to replace the M-1956 LCE line. This medium sized pack was created to carry 50 lbs of your “existence load items” into combat. Sort of similar to bringing your laptop into the office, or whatever. ALICE includes one large drawstring compartment, three small snap pouches and is made from water repellent military specified fabrics. There’s also tunneled webbing storage under the main compartment, should you frequently tote a bayonet scabbard or machete sheath. This pack has the ability to attach to a frame but is most commonly carried alone. As you’ll notice, we’ve re-envisioned the straps for Camo ALICE. Instead of traditional military backpack straps, we’re offering Electric Blue and US Flag Patterned 1" wide double looped Lightweight Polypropylene adjustable straps. Our custom refurbishing includes a tough rock enzyme wash to soften the material and each backpack is finished with an individually numbered WINTERCHECK FACTORY® ID tag.
We found a spattering of miscellaneous items left in these bags, from whistles to canteen covers. About one out of every seven bags will include an envelope with a recovered item enclosed.
