Our manufacturers and associates are the backbone of WINTERCHECK FACTORY®, so we want to tell you a little bit more about them and how we work together. You didn’t think we were making this stuff by hand in our Bushwick office, right?
In addition to all the socioeconomic reasons for manufacturing in the United States, we’re all about staying local because it helps us design more efficiently and with greater control and flexibility. At the end of the day, we also find that the quality of materials and labor is well worth the price. We’re given a unique opportunity to sit with experts (whether on millwork, metal fabrication, fabrics, etc.), ask ridiculous questions and use their knowledge to see our projects through. We like to capture some of the manufacturing processes through photos and video (some of which you can see throughout the site), but here’s an overview of how our products are made:
1. Have An Idea
2. Choose A Material
3. Source a Manufacturer
4. Value Engineer the Design
5. Test A Sample
6. Review Manufacturer’s Pre-Production Sample
7. Go Into Production
8. Release for Sale
9. Review Sales
10. Either Close Out Project or Go Back to Step 7
